MUSIC

The Long Tom Bluegrass Band brings together Grammy-winning musicians whose performances have captivated audiences worldwide. Known for their heartfelt vocal harmonies and masterful instrumentals—banjo and fiddle, guitar and bass, dobro and mandolin—they embody the very essence of great live music. Collectively, they have written hit songs and shared the stage with legends such as Bill Monroe, Ralph Stanley, Earl Scruggs, Alison Krauss, Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, Dolly Parton, Bonnie Raitt, Lyle Lovett, Joan Baez, and Marley’s Ghost.

The band lineup includes:

Join the action with Ross Rec for some free fun and high-energy basketball showdown just for players aged 8-13!

Join us for a fun, high-energy music festival featuring an incredible lineup of young artists, delicious eats from local vendors,  food trucks, and an unbeatable summer vibe.

This Live on the Common is slightly different, as we will host Break the Noise.  Break the Noise is a youth-led organization that provides performance opportunities, secures venues, and facilitates professional production for young artists in the Bay Area.  We are lucky to have some local Ross artists in the lineup performing at this Live on the Common, so come and support your neighbors and friends!

Ross Rec Teen Zone:  Swing by the all-new Teen Zone. We will host a round-robin basketball tournament on the blacktop for a chance to win free food vouchers and prizes. And be sure to come hungry—we'll have delicious bites from Riley's Food Truck, Marinitas, and Kona Ice!

The ILLEAGLES
The Illeagles is a tribute band of the Americana rock band known for their country-rock sound, with iconic hits such as “Hotel California” and Take It Easy.” The Illeagles band was founded in late 2016 when six friends came together who all had two things in common: 1) they loved the music of the Eagles, and 2) each member was an amazing musician in their own right. This shared vision led to mastering each of the Eagle’s classic hits. Join Dave, Dan, Jesse, Joey, Michael, and Dr Fu for a fantastic night of music in the park.

Join us for Live on the Common with local musician Elliott Peck and Friends, an Americana artist and her band featuring Grahame Lesh, Jon Chi, JP McLean, Jeremy Hoenig, and Jordan Feinstein.

Local food, food trucks, drinks, and children’s activities will be available. Please bring a chair or picnic blanket. RPOA will also set up lighting, heaters, tables, and chairs for our residents. The RPOA will also have cornholes and a volleyball court on the Common for children and families to enjoy.

Jon Chi has arranged for Elliott Peck to join us for Live on the Common. She has made a name for herself by lending harmonies to everyone from Phil Lesh and Bob Weir to Jackie Green and Lukas Nelson. As a member of the band Midnight North, she has appeared on bills with Bonnie Raitt. We are thrilled to have her join us.
