Live on the Common: Greg Loiacono and Stringray

Join us for Live on the Common #6 for free live music, local food, drink, art and kid activities. Please bring a chair or picnic blanket—the Town will also be setting up some tables and chairs.

This event is made possible thanks to a collaboration between Ross Property Owners’ Association (RPOA), Ross Auxiliary, the Town and an incredible team of volunteers. We encourage all Ross residents—homeowners and renters—to join RPOA or renew your membership for 2022 to help make events like this possible.

MUSIC
While Greg Loiacono is best known as a gritty rock and soul man from his work with The Mother Hips and Chris Robinson, the the singer—who grew up in Ross and attended Ross School—is charismatic, sensitive storyteller, one whose tender delivery and heartfelt lyrics lay it all on the line in the plainspoken poetry of Bill Withers or The Everly Brothers. Greg’s band features a host of world class musicians including Vicki Randle - percussion/ vocals ( Mavis Staples, George Benson), Michael Urbano - drums (Sheryl Crow, Lindsey Buckingham) and Steve Adams - bass/vocals (ALO).

Inspired by the timeless canon of ’60s and ’70s heartbreak tunes, the collection dives headfirst into the dichotomies of love, exploring happiness, heartache, redemption, and regret, all with great insight and empathy.

ACTIVITIES
AndrewsCamps
Kids can enjoy exciting games and activities on the field like Dodge Ball, Catch ‘Em, Capture the Flag, Parachute Games, Musical Hula Hoops, Tug O War, sports and more led by AndrewsCamps staff.

Ross School X Cedars
As part of a Ross School's focus on community service learning, this year's first graders partnered with Cedars artists to create a collaborative art piece celebrating "Beauty in Differences". Students learned about different abilities and decorated halves of butterfly wings with some Cedars artists decorating the other half. Butterflies were sewn together into a beautiful 70 x 48 piece to create a collective canvas of butterflies and symbolize that we are stronger when we support one another. Stop by the Ross School table to view the project and donate via Venmo to Cedars to help first graders reach their fundraising goal of $650!
